The ALDIN research project “Impact of low-grade heat and insulation on plant growth” received a recognition from the Icelandic president, Mr. Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, on February 10th, as one of six research projects nominated to receive the Icelandic President’s Innovation Awards.
The project was carried out by Karen Rós Róbertsdóttir, a student in horticulture at the Agricultural University of Iceland. She was supervised by Hjördís Sigurðardóttir, a food scientist and an urban planner and the CEO of ALDIN Biodome, and Jón Þórir Guðmundsson, a horticulturist with expertise in fruit growing. Co-supervisors were Unnar Víðisson and Heimir Hjartarson, engineers at EFLA engineering office.

Karen is also one of ALDIN Biodome team members as Horticulture Technician.
